Species Unite to Rally for Justice in Washington
The viciously cruel slaying of Hope, the yearling wolf, by Cody Roberts in Wyoming a few months ago shocked the nation and devastated wildlife advocates across the country.
We have been fighting ever since to see that justice is served in that horrible case and to ensure that all wolves are put back on the Endangered Species List so that this type of violence is never repeated.
Now, we are taking our fight all the way to Washington!
On June 26th, Elizabeth Novogratz and other representatives of Species Unite will be joining wolf advocates from across the country for "A Cry For the Wild," a rally on Capitol Hill to demand that our legislators do their part to put an end to the torture and the killing of wolves in America.
If you are in the area, please consider coming out and joining us for the rally:
Date: June 26th,
Time: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Location: Area 11, Capitol Hill (between Independence & First Street, directly across from the Cannon House Building).
The event will include speeches by some leading wolf experts, including former Species Unite podcast guest Erik Molvar. If you cannot be there in person, you can watch an official livestream of the event on YouTube at cryforthewild.org.
Hope the wolf lost her life in a tragic and violent way, but we can make sure that her death was not in vain. We will see to it that the suffering she endured is transformed into the spark that finally creates real change for all members of her species.
We hope to see you in Washington!
