Why is This Important?
Something very sad is happening in the wilderness across the United States. A lot of gray wolves are being killed in Western states, and this is very dangerous because it could undo all the hard work that people have done to protect the wolves.
A while ago, people had worked really hard to help the wolves because they were in danger of disappearing forever. But in 2020, some people decided to take the wolves off the list of animals that need protection. These people were from the farming industry, and they wanted to use the land where the wolves lived for their cows instead.
This is really bad news because wolves are important to keep the environment healthy. If we keep killing wolves, it could be really bad for everything around us. That's why we need to do something to protect them now before it's too late.
