Watch: Tabitha Brown Teaches Laverne Cox To Cook Vegan Food
The women cooked okra using an air-fryer and prepared a one-skillet meal with Beyond Sausage, in a showcase of simple and tasty vegan food.
Chances are you’ve already seen a video or two from the amazing vegan chef Tabitha Brown, who has quickly become a viral sensation thanks to her relatable, humorous, and uplifting videos on food, family, and lifestyle advice.
She has millions of followers and just one of her latest videos, a recipe for ‘carrot bacon’ - a bacon substitute made from just carrot peels - has over 17 million views on TikTok alone.
Now, Emmy-nominated actress and LGBTQ+ activist Laverne Cox is the latest foodie to try Brown’s delicious recipes.
As part of an online cooking class video, Brown and Cox cooked and discussed vegan food.
The Orange Is The New Black star admitted that she hasn’t cooked a meal in 10 years, so Brown’s cooking class kept things simple enough, but with delicious results.
The pair started by using an air-fryer to prepare okra, which was seasoned with garlic and herbs.
And for their one-skillet main meal, they cooked a Beyond Sausage with red peppers, sauteed cabbage, and onions.
