Popular review platform abillion has pledged $1 million to help support vegan restaurants in the U.S. that have been financially affected by the pandemic.

The free to join review platform allows users to discover and rate vegan food from supermarket finds to restaurant dishes, as well as cruelty-free beauty products. Now, with every review, members will generate a $1 donation that can help support vegan restaurants that have suffered significant losses in business through the pandemic.

The donation drive is part of the #SaveVeganRestaurants campaign, which launched to help spotlight the independent eateries that play a vital role in promoting and providing sustainable plant-based food across the country, but have struggled financially in the face of the pandemic.

Celebrities including Daniella Monet, Mayim Bialik, and Sophia Esperanza have shown their support online for the campaign, to encourage their millions of followers to support their favorite vegan eateries.

"So many vegan restaurants need financial assistance right now. We have always placed philanthropy over marketing, committing money to donate to great causes to effect real change and make an impact. We hope that the public responds to our call to action, to dine at vegan restaurants, to review their dishes, and then to donate the money that we reward them with each review to the Save Vegan Restaurants fund. It's that easy to make an impact," says Vikas Garg, founder & CEO of abillion.

You can join abillion for free, and the platform will start donating $1 for every item you review.
